Wedding Showcase at The Castle

Come and join us for a spring Wedding Fayre/Wedding Showcase at The Castle Hotel in Neath. You can see the hotel set up for a wedding and chat to many suppliers from photography to flowers, chair covers to chocolates. Click on the image to enlarge for more information.

You can speak with Sally about having your special day at The Castle Hotel over a glass of wine and some nibbles, view the rooms set up for a wedding reception and view the bridal suit.

The Castle Hotel is classically elegant with a great choice of nearby locations for those all important photographs. In addition, your guests can stay in one of their rooms and have a fabulous meal in their restaurant.

I will be there with sample albums for you to have a look through, and we can have a chat about your wedding day. There are still some dates for 2009 available, and I am now taking bookings for 2011. There is never any obligation to book, so if you have no idea what you want for your wedding photography, then come along. We look forward to seeing you at The Castle Hotel Neath on the 29th and 30th of March.

Have a great weekend,

Catherine

Images on CD

I often get asked by couples if they can have their images on CD, and the answer is yes you can. Once you have had your prints/album if you would like to buy the CD containing your images then that is no problem. I know that there are some photographers who are happy to turn up on the day, get home, download the whole lot onto a CD or two, hand them to you, take your money and wave goodbye, job done! There are also many like myself who believe this to be quite unprofessional for many reasons.

First of all, to give anyone images only on CD means that they may never get printed, or they will get printed on printers that are of a much lower quality than a professional lab. Or they could be printed in an instant photo booth which only print gloss and often the colours are not set right.

As a professional photographer I am proud of my work and want people to see it at it's best. I also want you to have a complete product. If I were to hand you a CD and wave you goodbye leaving you to finish off what should be my job, I think you agree it would be pretty unprofessional!

Imagine your dressmaker handing you your wedding dress all cut out, and sending you away to finish it yourself!

Sometimes couples will want their images only on CD thinking that it will save them money, but to get good quality prints, the cost soon adds up, especially when friends and relatives want copies too. Very often it is the couple that end up paying for other people photographs too. The online gallery could save you two hundred pound or more as your guests can pay securely online, twenty four hours a day in one simple step saving you the hassle and the pounds!

Remember though, if you decided to buy your cd of images, it can be anytime after the wedding, even a year or more later when your finances have recovered! All wedding images are carefully stored indefinitely for any future orders.

Please leave any comments, questions or queries. Tell me what you think...

Blue Sky for Lifestyle Photography!

Great to see a blue sky and sunshine this afternoon. Just what I needed for a Lifestyle Photography shoot. It was originally scheduled for yesterday, but we decided to wait until today for better weather. and it turned out to be a good decision..

The Gnoll Country park was the location for this shoot. With the sunshine streaming through the leafless trees, it seemed as though half of Neath had the same idea. Families, kids and dogs of all shapes and sizes (dogs that is!) took the chance for a stroll in the sun.

Lifestyle out of the studio is fantastic and I love to take advantage of the natural lighting and the fact that there is so much to interact with, especially with kids. The resulting images are far more life like than a studio setting and it is possible to get the images that are impossible in a studio.

I find that being outdoors, people relax more than they ever do in a studio where you are more likely to be worried about hair, make-up and how the kids look.

Nothing looks better than the healthy glow on you cheeks and the sun in you hair for a natural colour.
If you fancy some lifestyle photography for your self, it is only £75 which includes:
*one hour of photography,
*your own online gallery,
*10 prints of your choice as 8x6.

If you want more reprints, enlargements, a canvas, block mount or acrylic images, prices start from only £55.

Why not buy vouchers for a once in a lifetime gift that can be used towards lifestyle photography?
They make a fantastic gift for retirements, anniversaries, birthdays, new baby, or just because...

If you would like more information, then get in touch.

Well that's all for the moment, hope to hear from you soon.
